After 1986, from the very beginning of the workshop, Werner Tomasi was an insider's tip among flautists when an expert and quick repair was required. In those days the WIENER FLOETENWERKSTATT consisted of a tiny room. In the meantime we have developed from an "insider's tip" to a specialist flute business with an international reputation. In 200m² of business premises we offer amateur and professional musicians a wide selection of flutes and recorders, and of course, a comprehensive repair service as always. Moreover, the instruments can be tested under realistic conditions in our adjacent concert hall.

From the early days many customers, from near and far, have remained faithful to the WIENER FLOETENWERKSTATT. The reason is simple: Werner Tomasi's approach to flute building is uniquely comprehensive. As an experienced concert performer himself, he understands perfectly the special needs - both musical and technical - of the flautist. The design of his head-joints is the result of extensive research. High-precision machines are used for the basic construction but the superior tonal quality of each WIENER FLOETENWERKSTATT product depends ultimately on meticulous hand-finishing. The head-joint, formed by Werner Tomasi's own hands, has a special quality and each one is unique and a gem in itself - perfectly attuned to the needs of top-class artists.

We wish to satisfy customers, of course, but our aim is to also make customers happy - an instrument is more than just a tool for a musician! Werner Tomasi relates his philosophy of customer consultation:
